Set along the shoreline of Bruce Lake, this contemporary residence is defined by its bold cantilevered form and seamless connection to the surrounding landscape. Designed by Trevor McIvor Architects and built by Trea Building Systems, the home balances strong architectural lines with expansive glazing to maximize natural light and uninterrupted lake views.
Tiltco supplied a custom glazing package tailored to the project’s structural and aesthetic demands. The cantilevered portion of the home features large-format fixed glazing designed to extend outward over the landscape, creating a dramatic floating effect while maintaining exceptional thermal and structural performance.
The residence incorporates Reynaers SL38 window systems, selected for their slim sightlines, clean detailing, and high-performance aluminum profiles. These windows allow for generous expanses of glass without compromising strength or energy efficiency. Complementing the fixed glazing, Reynaers CP130 lift-and-slide doors were used to create wide, seamless openings that connect interior living spaces directly to the exterior, enhancing indoor–outdoor flow.
Together, the glazing systems play a central role in the home’s architectural expression—framing views, inviting natural light deep into the interior, and reinforcing the modern, minimal character of the design.
